I’ve been caring for birthing people, babies, and their families for 15 years now. I attended nursing school after the birth of my oldest child and discovered very quickly my interest in obstetrics and women’s health. Over the years I’ve worked in different parts of the country caring for people from all over the world in all areas of women’s and infant’s services.
I have also realized that there is a gap in education and information between the ideal and the reality of pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum, and newborn care. It’s my goal to help bridge that gap with up to date articles on important topics that parents tell me they want more information on. I will also take this information back to the hospitals I work for so we can adjust our educational curriculum to better meet your needs and those of the next person we care for.

I spend time learning what is important to you for your labor, birth, and postpartum experience so that my team and I can help you have the best experience possible.
Education and informed consent are incredibly important to me and I will support you with whatever information you need to make the best choices for you and your family. I have additional training in this area and I’m one of the only Birth Monopoly ‘Know Your Rights’ trained providers in Houston.
Respectful, sensitive care is a hallmark of my practice. I recently completed Childbirth International’s Trauma-Informed Provider certification course, the first program in the world that specifically covers trauma in relation to pregnancy, birth, and parenting.
